Final destionations: Agra and Delhi

The journey was almost over, but before we could go the airport, we of course had to visit the amazing Taj Mahal. To visit Taj Mahal is definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The monument was exactly as beautiful as on the pictures. We walked a little around and also inside it, but soon it was time to drive on to the final destination; Delhi, the capital of India. We arrived late at night and we only got to stay at the hotel a few hours before we had to go to the airport very early the following morning. The journey hasbeen one of the most amazing experiences in my life. It was amazing to meet another culture....

Next stop: Jaipur

We arrived in Jaipur at 14th of January. We had hired a guide who showed us around the city. We went to see a couple of palaces and Amber Fort. The funniest part was probably the fact that we did some elephant riding to get to Amber Fort. A this point of the trip we were all pretty tired, so many of us chose to stay at the hotel the rest of the day, but me and a couple of other girls decided that we wanted to walk around the city. At this day the Indians were celebrating the Kite Festival, which meant that there were kites everywhere. On the top of City Palace a man from a local TV-station...

Arriving in Udaipur and Krankoli

After checking in at the hotel it was time to do a little sightseeing in Udaipur. Udaipur isalso a chaotic city. Many cars, scooters and tuc tuc’s drove between each other, trying not to hit a cow or some man who’s crossing the road. It is very recommendable to take a tuc tuc if you need to go somewhere. You sit in this small wagon with no doors or windows and no seat belts, and a driver drives you to your destination. That is one thing about Indians; they drive like crazy! When you drive in India, the only rule is, that there are no rules. I know that you drive in the left side in India, but many times...

India baby

After being traveling for 30 hours we finally arrived to Mumbai early Saturday morning. The level of excitement was in top when we got on the bus and drove the way to our hotel. After a couple of hours of sleep it was time for sightseeing in the city. The first thing I noticed was all the different smells. Thousands of different spices, sweat, s***, perfume and urine are some of the smells that immediately hit you, and for every 10 meter you walk a no smell will come and hit you. Also the chaos was shocking. I have never been to a place that loud as Mumbai. Not even Italy when their men’s team won the world cup in...
